The Bollback Student Life Center at Word of Life Bible Institute is strategically situated along Schroon Lake to take advantage of the stunning lakefront and mountain views. Designed as a series of light-filled, timber pavilions, the design creates pedestrian connections with the academic and residential portions of the campus.

The 37,500 sqft building serves as the social center for the campus and houses a bookstore, cafe, snack bar, recreation space, study lounges, seminar rooms, mail room, dining hall, private dining rooms, servery, prep kitchen, and culinary offices. The dining hall and associated food service areas can accommodate up to 600 students.

The building design employs several sustainable design strategies such as passive ventilation and cooling, rain screen facades, renewable materials, natural daylighting strategies, LED lighting, enhanced thermal performance, native platings, and natural storm water management treatment with basins, rain gardens, and planters.
